Kayak tours ($40) let you paddle under the bridge as bats emerge overhead. Boat tours ($14) are more relaxed.

Arrive 90 minutes early for bridge viewing on weekends. Crowds form quickly.
Bats emerge at dusk, typically 30-45 minutes after sunset depending on conditions.
The emergence lasts 20-45 minutes as waves of bats stream out.
Stay for the whole show - the end can be as spectacular as the beginning.
